Packaging etc. was good. Also loved the password protection feature.
But it has some heating issues. When used for an hour or sometimes even less than that, it starts heating. Should consider this also while purchasing.

Overall, this SSD from Seagate is excellent: speeds live up to the claims (just make sure your port is atleast Thunderbolt 3 and above with > 10gbps signalling rate or USB 3.2 on a standard A interface) and it is incredibly small and portable. Matter of fact, it’s so small that I almost thought that the item was a warranty card or something haha. My only complaint is the price, it could’ve been better.

While I have a desktop, I have and use 2 laptops, on for work and the other for personal use. I use this drive for Time Machine backups and archiving my downloads folders. I always set up my external drives for us on a Mac. That process is quick! Now, this drive isn’t speedy if you are transferring terabytes of data to it? But when doing off loading and Time Machine backups, this drive does the job! If I fill this drive up before the end of the year? I will purchase another, organize the files by month and year. Portability is great, as long as you purchase a hard case for this product! I have MVME SSD drives I use for traveling with.

Simple to use, works as advertised, but there’s nowhere to password protect the device – shame on them for not saying so in the description. Why would you even make a backup/extra drive with NO password protection? It’s like leaving your Porsche unlocked with the keys in it… gee what might happen?
