I needed this to connect my Macbook Air M1 to my Thunderbolt 2 monitor. A cheaper third-party product didn’t work (beware false advertising) and I had to return it. Am happy with the product but I feel Rs 4,500 is exorbitant.

I was in two doubts about buying this as I don’t have any specific needs for it, but since I have two iMacs, I thought I can use them as extended screens. The adapter is definitely good quality and meets Apple standards in terms of finish. However it is highly priced like most Apple products. Purchase it ONLY if you have a specific need for it.

I bought this on the advice of an Apple expert on web chat for a new Mac mini 2023 as I wanted to keep my old 2015 Thunderbolt Display (2K). It works really well and I don’t think I will bother going to a 4K screen now. So though it is a mite expensive for a short cable, it has saved me at least £400 in purchase of a BenQ screen and I like using something that still works.

Using this dongle and a thunderbolt 2 cable, Am able to connect to my iMac which is a late 2014 model as a secondary display to my Macbook Pro which is a 2018 model. Just connect the dongle and the cable and hit CMD + F2 on you imac keyboard everything will be set up.

Funktioniert einwandfrei. Natürlich wie alle Adapter bei Apple exorbitant überteuert, aber gut. Da könnte man sagen, dann ist es doch das Geld wert. Aber es gibt Verhältnissmässigkeiten und Apple weiß darum aber schert sich nicht darum.
