Bitdefender has been my go to first line of defense on my Laptops since last ~9 years and on my Android since last ~5 years. Excellent top of the line defense for: 1. Banking transactions 2. Phishing Sites blocking 3. Real time SMS, weblinks access monitoring 4. scanning of downloaded apps 5. & all the other basic functions of the Antivirus as well let me list the PROs: 1. No worries for version or for updates as the latest version is downloaded and installed and will be updated for 1 or 3 years depending on subscription you choose 2. Legendary & proven Bitdefender Virus scan engine> 99%+ efficiency 3. Clean interface, small footprint and the Definitions database is on cloud ensuring your system does not slowdown 4. For a Beginner, the setup and use is really simple. For more advance users, you can tweak and play around to ensure your Rig behaves the way you want to when you dive into Codes/ Gaming 5. in case you are changing systems in the midst of your subscription, you can reach out to the Bitdefender support desk and seek help for migration- no guarantees here but support does go the extra mile to help out 6. Does not affect system boot time, ongoing scanning during routine work hours ensures silent backend execution and hardly takes up system resources CON/ DRAWBACK: I found only one drawback over the years for multiple subscriptions. If i take multiple licenses and install it on 1 system, then the entire product (multiple licenses) clock starts from that day, irrespective of you using it or not. This is the only drawback for me Overall, a dependable, Value for money product with Tons of features which saves you a fortune.

I think this is the best budget friendly anti-virus as compared all popular company’s & regularly used anti-virus company’s.
Many people suggesting some other brands anti-virus but I don’t feel they are as good as Bitdefender in providing security, features, easy understanding, Support, Ease of Installation. Yeh there are few but it’s costly.

This is among the most well known antivirus companies across the globe.Yet the application is buggy and UI is a bit clumsy. Bit Defender Total Security 2020 is put to use. Scans consume a lot of time. In particular, the system scans. Within a week after installation false positives have been seen. Installation took a while but was a breeze to set up. To activate the product one has to register an account in Central. The app will consume some 440 MB of space in memory. While scans are in progress memory consumption will further go up. Enabling archival scan option can freeze the system. The system that is run upon, has a quad core, 8 GB of DDR312800 module RAM installed along with a 7.2k rpm HDD. Still the system does not appear the run the app tidily. You will need an even better system. I imagine some octa cored processor or above with an SSD. Optimization in scans is something very much needed for the app. Possibly the app utilizes bleeding edge technologies. Then there is no way you can shut down the app with a single click. There is no option present to quit the app by a right click on the taskbar notification icon of the app. Updates can not be stopped as you like but for a specified duration. It is desired that the option to manually update be present. The product has its share of bugs. Once in a while after boot the app will not load properly. This is indicated by a greyish icon on the taskbar panel which is usually in red colour when things are fine. Advanced options in the Shield option tend to reset when a system scan is performed. Else the app is not that bad. Included utilities are quite useful, come very handy to maintain system stability. Firewall is effective. The app does not interfere much when not scans are in progresss. Ongoing scans can render the system sluggish.Shield options have to be selected very carefully. What was learnt after nearly two week of use is that if its not broken don’t fix it. After installation the app does not need to run system scans. Included AI is not merciful.:-( The company says the app will ‘adapt’. That is something i’m yet to see. For a decade I used an AV from another reputed company. That was sort of better. Hope after successive releases the bugs will be patched and the app will come optimized. Amazon as usual delivered the product within the stipulated time peroid. Potential buyers are advised to contemplate upon the system to be installed upon before purchase is done.
