O repetidor realmente cumpre o que promete, ele manda um sinal forte e que não fica oscilando tanto.
No meu caso eu uso esse repetidor para expandir um sinal do roteador da Vivo que não presta. O repetidor da TP-Link fica em uma tomada onde consegue pegar o sinal de internet forte e expande para outros cômodos da casa. Ficou excelente para o proposito dele, que é usar smartphones nos quartos e um Fire TV Stick.
Esse repetidor da TP-Link é muito bonito, é um produto com ótimo aspecto e bom acabamento. Além disso ele é bem compacto, mais do que eu imaginava pelo menos. O único fator que pode incomodar um pouco são as luzes na frente dele, porque elas são muito fortes e podem incomodar a noite dependendo da localização e infelizmente eu não achei opções de apagar os LEDs de status.
O aplicativo em si é muito fácil de configurar, excelente para aqueles que não entendem muito de tecnologia. Um usuário com pouca experiência conseguiria configurar com certa facilidade.
Agora sobre velocidade, infelizmente ele é “lento”. Ele é bom o suficiente para uma casa com pouca necessidade de velocidade e baixa demanda de uso da rede. Nos testes de velocidade que fiz usando o Speedtest, ele ficou na faixa de 11MB podendo chegar até 20MB de download e o mesmo resultado se aplica a banda de upload. É uma velocidade muito baixa, mas ao mesmo tempo é rápido o suficiente para um smartphone onde o uso seria redes sociais e YouTube. Nos meus testes, para uso básico do dia a dia, incluindo streaming de aplicativos como Netflix e Amazon Prime, foi ótimo (para qualidade Full HD de vídeos).
Para quem deseja maior velocidade, é melhor adquirir o outro modelo que tem sinal 2G e 5G (Dual Band). Além disso, esse repetidor é ideal e casa com poucas pessoas que usariam internet simultaneamente. Por exemplo, aqui em casa o uso é de até 4 pessoas, então ele funciona bem. Porém, se 4 pessoas estiverem usando ativamente a internet, baixando coisas no PC ou assistindo Netflix/Prime e outras coisas que demandam maior banda… é MUITO provável que esse repetidor da TP-Link não dê conta. Então é bom ter em mente o uso do aparelho antes de comprar ele, lembrando que o sinal é básico 2.4GHz e velocidade baixa.
Apesar dos pesares, eu ainda dou 5 estrelas e recomendo a compra, pois o repetidor funciona conforme o propósito dele e cobre uma área enorme com Wi-fi. Eu moro num apartamento de 120m² e ele sozinho consegue cobrir a casa toda, sendo que o roteador da Vivo só consegue chegar na sala e cozinha.

The product is a wireless range extender, although can work as wireless router via couple of hacks but it will mess up the firmware. Aesthetically it’s compact in size ~ to your wall mosquito killer. It does extends your existing wireless router’s signal significantly, currently I am getting 4 bars full in my room even though my router hub is sitting 2 storeys below in my living room. Thus it passes the test of breaching signals through 2 floors with thick concrete both horizontally and vertically( subjective, I’ll come to that later ) which is impressive as it is unexpected from a range extender working at 2.4Ghz channel frequency( trust me I am an engineer ) which is why I am quite impressed with this product.

2. Aesthetically, it is beautiful pearl white in color and compact in size.
3. Very economical as it works on 3W rated power, to give you a perceptive typically LEDs works in this range!
4. Has intelligent dual antennas which detects and throws signal to where your device is located, this is useful in two ways:
a. Power consumption is diverted to either of the antennas based on the location of your device if needed, thus consumes less power.
b. Intelligently detects distance to your device and dynamically selects best possible signal rate( bandwidth selection: 300, 54 or 11Mbps ).
5. Impeccable customer support, to give you some perspective, I’ve got replaced my two nonfunctional routers with brand new ones even they were out of warranty, because of customer loyalty thingy.
6. If you have a dual band router rated 300Mbps then expect blazing speeds while streaming( streaming is not downloading ) media content from your pc to your device through this range extender.
7. It comes with it’s own app
Example: I typically watch blue-ray videos ( typically 12GBs in size ) downloaded on my PC, streamed directly to my iPad without any latency issues and can skip through videos without any lag! provided your device must have processing firepower to churn that much data but typically all current gen smartphones, tablets or laptops can do this without any hassles any thing 5 year old is considered obsolete nowadays.

Vertical Antenna usually transmit signal ‘horizontally’ in a donut shaped fashion and thus have effective signal to bandwidth rate for ‘length’ of distances (say) 100 feet or more, vertical transmission rate is low compared to horizontal transmission rate due to dimensional constraints of antenna and the product itself which is not there fault as Physics laws limits our current technology in wireless transmissions.
2. Due to the above reason expect low band as you move up higher and higher!
3. Other third-party routers functioning in a single home or apartment can result in collision of SSID identification and thus you have to fill in your credentials every time to connect with your range extender, unless you have TP-link routers which identify SSID as a singular connection.

1. As a quick fix for better vertical transmissions for people having more then 2 storeyd home, call it as ‘jugaad or junkyard electronics’, take a copper wire and make a cone shaped spiral and wrap aluminum foil around it, place it below or above the extender and be amazed, I am getting full 5 bars out of it.
2. Use the mobile app to switch the extender to night mode and thus save yourself from constant bombardment of wireless signals during sleep which can result in sleep deprivation and save some power too!
