The adapter works fine with Windows and Linux, with the drivers provided through the CD in the package. Windows Update tries to install a driver when the adapter is connected for the first time, but that driver causes some issues like slow speed and random disconnections. So only install the provided driver. Overall, the adapter is very good, no heating and connection issues.

Every time when I connect it with cpu and wifi it got disconnected then I have to remove it from the slot and again insert it then it works for 30 sec and again got disconnected. Waste of money even it is also not providing the wifi speed

While it is a good WiFi adapter, it is not yet connected to the 5G GHz band and occasionally does not work with OS X, even though this is rare.
