John H. S. Rennie –
Lenovo Laptops are no doubt best in class but with newer models coming in the quality is no longer what it was in earlier days.
after very thorough research I decided to purchase this laptop (82SF008YIN), but hands down after using the same for 15 odd days.
Issue : I have major issue with Battery of my laptop , the battery stopped charging just within 15days of purchase, and now i cant ask for replacement or return the product as it return period is only 7days, so i had to contact Lenovo Premium Support to check on the issue, while the name says premium, but dont expect any kind of premium service , the support engineers were really poor and I had to connect to 3 different engineers on 3 different days to explain the same problem and every new support guy did the same troubleshooting , (frankly googling the issue i could find better advise than what support were trying) , and when you ask too many question to support you are either put on hold or the call gets disconnected, ( thats premium service for you) ,
the battery issue has nothing to do with Rapid charge or conservative mode options i have checked all basic troubleshooting myself and even support engineers also confirmed it was not any software/driver issue , but hardware problem.
and after lot of repetitive troubleshooting from support engineers, they finally agreed to get the battery replace by field engineer and raised the hardware replacement case, which would take min of 4-5days and this is when im staying in city like Bangalore, Its been more than 5days since my complaint to premium support and im yet to get proper details from Lenovo, every time i have to call them and explain everything and than either go on hold or get disconnected on the line.
Also note that the warranty of your laptop in many cases would have been activated months before your actual purchase, so be careful to check that at lenovo site and you will have to contact customer care to rectify this problem , though i took this laptop in Sept 2022 my warranty was activated from July 2022, but was corrected later when connected to customer care.
Some Pros:
Speakers/Sound : 4/5 ( speakers are really loud and clear)
FingerPrint: 4/5 ( this is good and fast)
Cons:
Battery : 0/5 ( dead battery within 15days)
Track pad : 2/5
Build Quality : 3/5 ( considering 65k)
Display : 3/5 ( considering 65k )
Conclusion : Priced at Rs 65,000 – 68,000, please get better alternative laptop than the dead battery Lenovo laptops

I have seen for lot of options and finalized this one. Very good battery life for light usage.

I use this for college and it’s perfect! It’s fast and reasonably light and the battery life is good enough to use it in lectures and practical classes without worrying that the battery will die. At the price I don’t think you can do better! It isn’t great for gaming, but it will play AAA games if you crank the settings all the way down.

Writing review after 10 days used-
Performance wise it’s very good. It is light weight. Nice design.

Iam writing this review after 20 days of usage for multimedia and multi-tasking
Pros – Product overall look and styling which is quite impressive, it is slim and light weight as the model says. Build quality is not so great but super, which is sufficient. They gave 2021 MS office and 1 month of Mcfee, but you can extend to one year by paying 199.
Speed of the laptop is good for multi-tasking and browsing. Booting speed is impressive. Display is Ok ok. Bezels around the screen are very less. Keyboard is good and typing experience is ok. Touchpad is sufficient, not so big but response is fast and smooth, simply super. Gestures work accurately.
Keyboard backlight is ok. It is not RGB just white light with two step adjustment.
Charing speed is good. you can get battery backup up to 5-6 hours for multi-tasking.
Cons- There are no big cons
As surface and edges are made of metal sometimes you can feel light conductivity of electricity. Avoid using it while charging or else use don’t try to touch edge of the key board platform.
It would have been better if they have given ‘H’ processor. It would take high loading of software.
The price of the extended warranty and battery warranty are very high. Overall pricing of the laptop seems to be high compared to its specs.
Laptop is compatible for DDR5, but they gave only DDR4 which is only 3200mhz.
You can take this laptop if you like LENOVO so much. Laptop will seem to be bit pricy. Otherwise, you can take Ideapad gaming laptops or you can prefer Dell.
