Got this from Mark Infotech for ₹2,950.00. Fair price and the seller is a good one.
Packaging was nice and I got this delivered on Christmas, which is amazing!
About the product, this is a great piece. It’s a 1x PCI-E card, no other power required. It has Dolby Headphones, built-in amplifier.
First uninstall any Realtech stuff you have and get the software from Asus website (also register your product there with the serial number, I did the same and my product is a genuine one). Then install the Xonar DGX Audio center and make sure you allow that autorun at startup.
You can then customize the sound card and set it up with the help of the manual you can get from the Asus site.
The sound has a clear boost to it, its crisp and clean across the range. I do see a great improvement in the way my ATH M40X sounds and my Altec Lansing 5.1 already has an amp and this make the sound amazing at any volume levels.
Overall a great product for an audiophile in a budget.

Asus Xonar AE
Lets get to the point. Running Windows 10, latest available drivers and the Xonar AE delivers on Music, Movies and most importantly to me, Gaming. Provides the best Gaming Quality Sound compared to Onboard Audio.
I just built the current Gaming PC that im on right now and the only component I didnt buy at the time due to limited budget was a Sound Card. Im ‘okay’ with onboard Audio, its decent, but it doesnt deliver the levels and ranges you need for certain applications like Gaming. RealTek Audio Chipsets have taken over as the default onboard MoBo Audio and they do indeed get better, but they also fall short in the process. You truly dont know what you are missing in Gaming Audio until you use an actual Sound Card.
Sound Cards were big in the late 90’s to end of 2000’s. Then they just kinda faded into the shadows with some brands popping up with some variation of a Sound Controller Device. Gaming developers used to give great focus on Audio Quality as much as the Graphics Quality, but not much if at all anymore. SoundBlaster Audio was the champ of 2.1 Stereo Sound. Now we have the ASUS Xonar Series which are the PC Champs of 5.1 & 7.1 Surround Audio. I have never been disappointed with the quality of the Xonar Series of cards, much like other ASUS Products like Monitors, they have lasted the longest and continue to outlast other products. This is my 3rd ASUS Xonar Sound Card, each has been in a different Gaming PC. First was the Xonar DG, then the next was D2, now the AE. All still work, just different PCI Connections so I couldnt use either old version on my new PC. (PCI 1x, PCI, PCIe 4x).
Highly Recommended Audio Card Series to invest in for Gaming.

After 8 years of good service I just replaced same with same. Good general purpose card.

Do not buy this product. They are selling warranty expired product. My card’s SPDIF stopped working within 15 months of buying the card. The ASUS acrd used to have 3 years of warranty. When I registered the card with ASUS, it was showing the card as expired , with the expired date even prior to purchase date !!

Good for headphones but not supported on 5.1 home theater. Produces weird sound on my 5.1. I want to return but this item says cannot return per Amazon policy. Better try creative ones. They sent a defective one and just got it replaced after a month and it worked amazingly.

The sound quality is very good you can hear every footstep. I brought this because after long use my HyperX fury headphones sounds got very slow so I used it as a solution rather than buying a new headphone of same price. It would be better if it is priced under 2500.

Plugged it in, started the PC and got sound from SPDIF. Just what the doctor ordered
Be advised, the software included shows me only 2 channel output, but I can confirm 5.1 output on 5.1 encoded files.

I also have a creative soundblaster vx 5.1 but this one sounds naturally better (also because of the 24bit/192Khz option). Also it is louder in headphone setting than speakers setting because of the amp. There are three settings (low/mid/high) for the headphone amplifier output. My 50watt speakers are loudest so far due to the amp output. You can go for it, its the best sound card in budget.
