 1st of all, I was sceptical about the product whether it’s genuine or a fake one, since hp has stopped working on the hp-15-r033tx model which I purchased on 6th oct,2014. So I thought it can’t be a genuine hp battery maybe. So for clearing the doubt, I called hp custome care number, and told them the battery serial no. And asked them to check if it’s genuine or not. But they couldn’t check it and advised me to visit nearest service centre. So I visited one and only Kolkata hp authorised service centre near in Chandni chowk 6no. Metro gate. They checked it and then assured me clearly that it’s a genuine product. I will get the validated wty of 1 year. Then I got the peace of mind.
I ordered on 15th oct, but received it 26th. So from then only, I started using the battery extensively. I am using the battery from 26th to till date 3rd nov, I’m getting around 2.5 to 3hrs back-up. I’m using in balanced mode, better battery mode. I’ve been checking the battery as a soft usage purpose like: Wi-Fi connected all the time+YouTube video 1080p or better resolution+ some other tabs on Edge browser.
Yesterday night I kept it 97% battery charged and left it to drain by using YouTube video of duration 2h45min+12min+28min. I didn’t do anything except leaving it for the video.
I think I can get the great backup as I had been using direct power mode since a long years after my 1st original battery got damaged. So initially from this battery, I couldn’t get the good backup less than 1hr (approx 30min.). I did battery calibration, nothing changed. Then I formatted the OS. Then I am getting a good battery backup of 2h30 to now 3h 30min approximately.
I have been using my laptop for more than 9yrs. as of now. I decided to buy this battery for my daily office work with battery. So expecting to get atleast 2hrs. And it’s serving the purpose.
I have bought it 2699 and 10 percent disc. So it’s a value for money product. If anyone’s reading this review, I will advise, pls reach out to your nearest authorised hp notebook service centre and make it validated within the return period if it’s genuine or fake. If they assure you then good to go. Or else call Amazon and make return arrangement.
Appearance was great as you guys can see the picture.I shall update more after usage of it.

Battery doesn’t sit properly in the slot though it is the same model. My lappy is more than 8yrs old may be for that reason. Initially worried a bit as it was draining fast. Had to calibrate multiple times as suggested by HP assistant for the optimum output. For normal operations it gives around 4Hrs, if you open IDEs and few other applications, it gives only 2-3 Hrs.
