I have a Macbook pro M1 and since it is not recommended to write on the disk that often I needed one dock to put an external HD and to connect my Mac to an external monitor.
It works amazing, you just need to use the cable provided to connect the Dock to your computer.

This dock is amazing in functionality. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because the screw to the top will not tighten. Besides that, this worked great with my surface go laptop.

Considering all the trash out here for this type of device, this was a pleasant surprise.
Adding the extra m.2 hard drive spot was a great added feature. The usb ports are super fast. I use them with my micro SD adapters. All ports worked as specified. I would suggest this product.

Firstly, the most important thing – use the USB-C cable this thing ships with for the host->dock connection. You’ll have problems if you don’t!
I bought the package recommended by Amazon (a 100W USB-C charger and 2x 100W rated USB-C cables). I used both of these cables – 1 to connect the PSU to the dock, the other from host to dock
I also put a 512GB SSD in the dock – and (at least in Win 11) I was able to partition and format (a brand new drive) without any difficulties (despite reading reviews that say it needs to be initialised externally first)
However, I was experiencing the same issue that another reviewer mentioned – not output from HDMI, and whenever plugged in to a Windows (11) host, a message that a low power charger was connected
I was about to return this, being very disappointed, when I decided to try the unit without power, and also with different cables. As soon as I used the cable that came with the unit, it all started working as expected. I assumed the “add on” cables Amazon recommended would be better – seems not
Now putting it through its paces. So far so good now that the teething issues are dealt with
I’ll update/change the review if there’s any significant developments
