I use this every day. I can take my laptop with me out and about. When I bring it home I only have one thing to plug in and I am connected to large monitor, keyboard, mouse, extra disc drive, and two printers. Still have room to add another monitor too.

This docking station prevents simultaneous use of the HDMI audio output and external speakers. My previous (and much older) Targus docking station allowed both HDMI and sound jack audio simultaneously. This docking station also disables the laptop audio jack when an HDMI device is connected, which the Targus did not do. All other ports work great, which is why 3 stars, but I require the simultaneous audio outputs and so am returning the unit.

Finally: All USB 3.0. This will make a significant difference when it comes to my streaming setup. Got it to replace a model they released two years ago and pretty much everything about this is an upgrade. Metal housing, more ports, much more stable mount. Definitely worth it. Just hope it lasts longer than two years.

I have been looking for a docking station for my MacBook Pro M2 which works with DisplayLink. This dock worked absolutely well. It was truly a plug and play since I already had displaylink installed. I am able to connect two external monitors in extended mode on my Mac now. The box contained all the needed converters as well along with Dock. DVI to VGA, DVI to HDMI and Type c to USB.
